Federal funding is allocated annually through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to support students with specific needs, including those from low-income families.

The concept of Private School Equitable Services ensures that eligible students, teachers, staff, and families in Private Non-Profit (PNP) schools receive fair access to federally funded programs.

How it Works:

• Funding flows from TEA to Local Education Agencies (LEAs).

• LEAs are required to engage in timely and meaningful consultation with private school officials to design, develop, and deliver the services.
