Dr. Alice Nah
Dr Alice Nah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology at Durham University, United Kingdom. She conducts research on the security and protection of human rights defenders at risk, and on migration and asylum in Southeast Asia. She has served as the Chair of the Boards of Protection International and the International Detention Coalition; she co-founded the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network.
Omar Youcef
Omar Youcef is the Programs Manager at the Refugee Network Center Malaysia (RNC), where he leads initiatives that enhance refugee community resilience through education, trauma care, and entrepreneurship programs. As a member of the UNHCR Malaysia Refugee Advisory Board, he advocates for inclusive decision-making and policy reform. Omar's work focuses on empowering displaced communities via sustainable, community-led solutions and cross-sector collaboration.
Dr. Andika Ab. Wahab
Dr. Andika Ab. Wahab is a Research Fellow at IKMAS, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Head of the Centre for West Asian Studies. His work focuses on international migration, human rights, and sustainability politics. He is a member of the Global Business and Human Rights Scholars Association and an accredited Fair Labor Association monitor, with expertise bridging academia, policy, and field-based labor and migration issues.
Hafsar Tameesuddin
Hafsar Tameesuddin is a Rohingya refugee, a social worker, and a dedicated human rights advocate. They are the Co-secretary General of Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN) and are involved with the Global Refugee-Led Network and the Global Movement of Statelessness. Hafsar co-founded and directs diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Rohingya Maìyafuìnor Collaborative Network, a women-led, Rohingya-led, and refugee-led organization addressing Rohingya human rights, sexual and gender-based violence, and education.
