Papers and Posters
The ARC-UNHCR Conference on Refugee Studies and Forced Displacement welcomes paper submissions and poster presentations on any topics pertaining to refugees and issues of forced displacement.
Presentation Materials Due By: 1 June 2025
This call for proposals is now CLOSED. Applicants will be updated on their submission status by the end of April 2025.
We commit to a multidisciplinary approach and welcome original contributions from any field and methodological approaches, as long as they align with the conference focus on refugee studies and forced displacement.
Aside from full-length paper presentations, we also welcome poster presentations from graduate students, researchers, practitioners, academics, and members of refugee communities.
Submission Criteria:
All proposals should have a title and a 300-word abstract.
The abstract should specify the research question, describe the approach used, and indicate the research conclusions.
Presentation Format:
Paper presentations at the conference will generally be brief (around 15-20 minutes) and include a Q&A component with the audience.
The conference will include a walk-through display of selected posters, with dedicated presentation sessions for researchers to discuss their findings and network with conference participants.
Proposals will undergo selection on a rolling basis. We aim to complete the selection process and notify applicants of the results by April 2025.
The full conference agenda will be announced after the selection process is completed.
