Glossary

Assignor:  the USSF position responsible for providing proper assignments to referees to ensure their development, retention, and opportunities for advancement

AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization):  the national governing body of Core and United

Badge: velcro patch worn on the referee shirt to indicate your training/ level 

CNRA (Cal North Referee Administration): USSF branch in our Area that is responsible for implementing USSF initiatives and programs

Game officials: site used by AYSO United assignors to assign games and pay referees

Ref Scheduler: the site used by AYSO Core for regional referees to self-assign games

Self-assign: a method of assigning referee crews to game where the referees select which games they would like to do

RRA (Regional Referee Admin): person at AYSO Core responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the AYSO National Referee Program at the regional level

USSF  (United States Soccer Federation): national governing body of all things soccer in the United States
