Weekly process for self-assigning games as an AYSO United Davis referee
The schedule is loaded in on a weekly basis for self-assigning and on Sundays or Mondays and Jerry sends a message out letting you know the weekly schedule has been uploaded.
Paths Forward for You:
Please look for opportunities to self-assign when available. In addition, please keep your availability in Game Officials current because there will be some situations when Moe will be needing to assign referees to fill gaps.
If you believe your ranking should be higher (you cannot see games when the schedule is released this Sunday), please contact Jerry and Moe via email and they can check and then explain. Talk with them about your refereeing interests and specific mechanics needing improvement. These guys are top notch and we are lucky to have them helping us.
If you want to raise your ranking for access to more games, gaining game experience is the key! If you cannot self-assign club level games, there are plenty of recreational (volunteer) games to assign in the next 8 weeks. If you are cross certified you should have access to refscheduler (AYSO Section 2, Area D, Region 218) and can self-assign games there. If you'd like to cross certify here are the instructions. We work with Davis AYSO to ensure those that are regularly volunteering and gaining experience to be able to communicate to Moe and Jerry they are gaining experience that can impact their ratings for United games.

Saturday/Sunday each week
Double check your assignments – time and location.
Arrive 30 minutes early. Arriving for kick off time is LATE. Notify the assignor if you are coming from another activity and know you will not be there at least 15 minutes before kick off.
