I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) with a minor in Mathematics and also a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I have taught in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. This year will be my ninth year of teaching.

My hometown is in Tyro, North Carolina, where I have lived on a farm my entire life and I love animals almost as much as I love to teach! I am so blessed to have the opportunity to move back home and teach at the same elementary school I attended. I played a variety of sports growing up, which included volleyball, cheerleading, and basketball. I enjoy going to the beach, lake, and mountains, along with spending time with my family and best friends. I love to exercise and just to be active in general. I am blessed to have a dog, Sadie, who is 1 year old and is the most energetic, loving puppy ever! I also have another dog, three donkeys, and ten cows back at the homeplace as family pets.

I have had experience assisting in 1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th grade classrooms from high school and college internships. Also, I have tutored almost every age group from elementary school to college in mathematics...yes, math is my favorite subject!

I love to teach and continue to learn with the students. It is my goal to inspire all students to strive to be the best they can be throughout their education! My classroom will have an inviting, interactive, and positive environment for learning, embracing diversity, and building friendships. I am thrilled for all of the events that will take place throughout the upcoming school year!
