This is the story of how Redwood Groove came to be. Three of the band members already were playing together in the Billy Martini 70's Tribute while the other 2 members were playing in a Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute. Little did both bands know or realize that they were sharing the same drummer. Ironically, this connected us all one day in Boulder Creek, CA.

Many of the world's normalcies changed over the past couple of years causing the members of each tribute band to finally meet up and have a friendly jam downtown.

First, you had COVID wipe out both bands' entire concert schedules and musical lifestyles. Then you had the CZU fires evacuating many of the residents and the band from their homes. It was the spirit of the community that helped us through and set the obvious destiny for the Redwood Groove Band.

Today, we are creating and building a collaborative set of songs and medlies to perform and share with our fans and followers. While 2 of the original members have left and rejoined their previous tribute, Redwood Groove has been and is creating and building a better even more exciting band!

Our name represents us well (REDWOOD) reaching the highest heights.  Sharing from the deepest roots of our musical experiences and wisdom. (GROOVE) A Grove means all together and strength in numbers. A Groove is also what gets created when the strength and force of people come together.
