Any changes to the rules beyond that exception will be considered at the end of Season 6 prior to Season 7.
Section II: Race Operations Season 6 of REDLINE RACING LEAGUE will feature 22 races, comprising 14 Regular Season events, 6 Playoff events & 2 Exhibition Races.
All races will be run with the following specifications:

*Exceptions to these qualifications can be made at the discretion of the league administration. Additionally, full-time drivers from Season 5 would be grandfathered into the league and not subject to the requirements.
Entry - In an effort to continue to foster the healthy growth of the REDLINE RACING LEAGUE while not allowing the growth to become a detriment to the quality of the on-track racing, beginning Season 6, all race will have a maximum of 43 drivers who will be able to start a race during a given week.
Beginning Season 6 the structure of a race room will be as follows:
Maximum: 43 drivers will transfer to a given race, based on qualifying results during the official lobby on Monday evening.
The fastest 43 drivers in the qualifying will make the race each week.
The remaining drivers beyond that 43-car threshold will not be permitted to race, but are encouraged to return the following week to try again.
If by the end of qualifying there are fewer than 43 cars, ALL cars will advance to the main race event.
In Simple Terms:

*and so on, for as many positions are fielded in a given race.
Stage Points - The Stages will serve the same function as the "Stage" format used in real life NASCAR, allocating bonus points to the Top 10 drivers at each stage of each of the 16 regular season and playoff races. There will not be a caution thrown at the end of each stage.
If the race is under caution at the time the stage is reached, the Top 10 drivers when the stage is reached will receive those bonus points.
If the caution comes out within 4 laps of the stage, the field will be frozen and that will be the end of the stage.
Stages will be 25% into races that are 1.5 Mile Tracks or bigger and 30% on tracks smaller than 1.5 miles.
The Top 10 drivers will receive the following points as part of the 25%-30% Checkpoint:

2. 9 pts.
3. 8 pts.
4. 7 pts.
5. 6 pts.

Section III: In-Race Driver Rules
Starts - For the entirety of Season 6 of the REDLINE RACING LEAGUE, the initial start of any race will be conducted by the drop of the green flag. Jumping the initial start could result in a penalty(Drive Through), if violated.
Restarts, Resuming Races - For all restarts following the initial start of the race, the leader is considered the control car and will be able to dictate when they decide to resume racing, only after the pace car has dropped off and begun its approach and entry into pit road. Drivers are expected to be competitive but "jumping" the initial start or later restarts is prohibited and could result in a penalty(Drive Through). This will be closely monitored by league administrators, if violated.
All Starts and Restarts the leader has lane choice. Please announce it before coming to one to green. This includes the initial start.
Pit Road: For another season we do not have any pit box rule but we do encourage drivers to stay to the right of pit road before their box. We also request that a driver calls out when they are pitting when in a group of cars.
Pacing & ‘Cleaning Tires’ - Drivers are permitted to weave back and forth under pacing, known as “warming up” or “cleaning” tires. However if you cause a wreck under caution, you will be given a penalty(1 Lap Penalty). This rule will be closely monitored and enforced by league administration.
Black Flags - Black flags will not be cleared unless the league administration deems the action that resulted in the black flag was at no fault of the driver penalized. In this case, the league administration will make the decision.
For example, speeding on pit road in an effort to advance your position or not paying attention to the speed limit does not meet the threshold to have a black flag cleared. Additionally, a driver who is able to drive their vehicle following a crash that places the race under caution and, instead of rejoining the field and performing their pit stop when pits were open, they opt to pit during a closed pits, that also does not meet the threshold of having a black flag cleared.
On the opposite side, a driver may have used pit road to avoid a crash and entered at a high speed, getting a black flag. That may warrant a review by league administration to see about removing that flag or a situation where a driver did not grid up properly, causing others to receive a black flag for passing under yellow, that, too, would be grounds enough to allow for a review of the black flag for possible clearing.
As a rule of thumb: Black flags will not be cleared unless there are extenuating circumstances that warrant it, which will be reviewed by league administration, such as being the innocent bystander in an incident or having to use pit road to avoid an incident.
"Lucky Dog" Free-Pass & Wave-Around - This season of the REDLINE RACING LEAGUE, the "Lucky Dog" free pass will be in effect, meaning the car scored by iRacing as the first car at least one lap down will be allowed to pass the pace car and earn one of their laps back. Follow the rules and prompts on screen from iRacing when it comes to properly visit pit road after earning your lap back and your placement on the track.
Beyond the iRacing free pass, the league administration WILL NOT be giving any drivers a manual wave-around by the pace car. This rule will be in effect for the entire season and will not be subject to modification until Season 7. Only circumstance is if a driver has computer issues or internet issues. When the driver returns they are allowed to get waves on the next caution till they are one lap down.
Cautions & Penalties - The REDLINE RACING LEAGUE wants to, and has over its last one season, fostered an environment of competitive racing that has seen its share of intense, but clean racing. That is something we wish to continue in Season 6, which is why drivers who chronically generate cautions in a race will receive penalties.
This season, if a driver is found to have been the principal cause of a caution flag, their first penalty will be an End-of-Line (EOL) penalty where they are sent to the rear of the field
. If that same driver is found to have been the principal cause of a second caution flag during the same race, that driver will then receive a one-lap black flag penalty.
If that same driver is found to have been the principal cause of a third caution flag during the same race, that driver will then be immediately removed from the server by race administration and automatically receive a ten-point penalty.
Intentional wrecking, Retaliation - This will not be tolerated. In a similar vein to managing tempers, there is an understanding that close quarters racing can heighten emotions when battling for position but, should a battle result in drivers using their trucks to retaliate over a perceived slight against them or a move on the track they didn't like, or take someone out for any reason, the driver found to be intentional wrecking and/or carrying out retaliation will be IMMEDIATELY removed from the race server, with the league administration reserving the right to completely remove the driver(s) from the league.
This behavior will not be tolerated and race administration will be monitoring each race to ensure competition remains close, competitive but free of offensive communications and detrimental on-track conduct. If any intentional wrecking or retaliation happens after the conclusion of the race, that will result in a points penalty.
Superspeedway Rules:
During a Superspeedway Race going below the yellow line is not permitted at all unless you are pitting or avoiding an accident. If you decide to go below the yellow line, you will be told to serve a pass through. If this occurs during the final lap, you will be given the last lead lap position.
There will be no 3 wide allowed until the backstretch after every start and restart. Failure to abide this rule will relegate you to serve a pass through penalty.
Bumping through the corners is allowed. Pushing the pusher isn’t against the rule but isn’t recommended.
