Redby Community Centre began as a community project in 1964 set up by local residents. Redby Community Centre was formally constituted in December 1976. It was registered as a charity on 18 March 1977 which is still serves to this date. Redby After School Club opened at the Community Centre in 1998, showing that the centre was already established and being used for children's services by that time. Over a period of 60 years, the building began to fall into disrepair.
In 2023, local community project developers Richy Duggan, Jude Britton and local resident and former Councillor Josh McKeith, began to find the support to bring the building back to its former glory. The roof, windows, flooring, electrics all needed repair. In late summer 2026, the charity launched its new program and will add to the memories of this community building.
