Red Bulls main purpose in the energy drink industry is to provide the world with a drink that can increase one's energy and ability throughout the day. It would only make sense for Red Bull to enter the sport industry. And so they did, they began with F1 or Formula 1 the highest class in racing. From there they spread into other sports, some extreme such as skydiving, mountain biking, FMX, BMX and many more. This proved Red Bulls capability to power through extreme events.
As the leading energy drink brand, they operate in approximately 170 countries, with more than 17 thousand employes. Even with its popularity Red Bull is banned in some countries due to its high level of sugar and caffeine as it is deemed dangerous. In light of that Red Bull has still managed to make impressive sales around the world. In the US (2023) alone Red Bull has achieved 1.71 billion US dollars in sales. In 2011 they sold about 4.08 billion cans, and thanks to their ever-growing popularity they sold 12.1 billion cans last year in 2023.
Since their introduction to the market, they have always been interested in targeting the young population. Usually within the age gap from 18 years old to 35 years old, more specially college students who need to stay up, or athlete that could use the extra push of energy to perform their very best. On some occasion Red Bull is used as a mixer in alcoholic drinks. With that being said, the real biggest age gap to consume this powerful energetic drink is 30 to 50 year olds.
As mentioned before Red Bull is banned in some countries due to its high content of sugar and for its content of Taurine. Red Bulls future plans are to make drinks that are healthier for everyone while staying true to their purpose. With healthier drinks available Red Bull can hope to be off the banned drinks list in other countries and continue to grow in profits.
Like other brands Red Bull is also helping out with real world issues. Red Bull as a whole is interested in a better world, they currently have 5 linked projects on their website (which are all worthy of checking out). Their number one project listed is in efficiency in cooking in Somalia, their focus is to help families cook without relying on biomass fuels that causes deforestation.
