Honor Unit with Distinction
This program prepares high school students for leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities, and privileges as American citizens. JROTC motivates students to graduate from high school by providing instruction and rewarding opportunities that benefit the student, the community, and our nation. Students attending Red River and Central High Schools make up our battalion.
Master Sergeant Thatcher is the Senior Army Instructure (SAI) for the JROTC program at both high schools. He is very well known for serving our country in the U.S. Army. Master Sargent Thatcher is also in charge of Color Guard, JLAB, Drones, Camp Events, and the daily operation of the JROTC Program. Cadets will get the opportunity to be able to work with him and learn from him over their LET 2,3 and 4 year.

Sergeant First Class Selnes is one of the Primary Instructors for the LET 1 Cadets. He is the primary instructor for Marksmanship and helps with extracurricular activities within the JROTC program. Let one's will get the opportunity to be able to learn and work with him over the course of the year.
