The main problem I was attempting to address with my project was the issue of an extremely ineffective and outright failure of a recycling program that was put in place a couple years ago. All recyclables were making their way into the waste bins and nothing was being sorted making the current program useless. I decided to address this issue from a variety of different avenues, such as creating a new employee training PowerPoint to ensure the new program is utilized correctly and focused on making an easy to understand training document for the janitorial staff. 

We also have plans to expand the program further by removing disposable items from the office like plastic coffee stirrers and utensils along with encouraging employees to use reusable coffee mugs in order to reduce waste. In addition to this I set the framework to introduce a new composting program to the campus to help further reduce waste.
