Thank you first to my students for your desire to always learn more and to strive to improve each year. You have been my reason and inspiration for seeking a second master's degree in journalism. I am beyond proud of you every day and so blessed to have ten years of memories to look back on. There have been many late nights, lots of food, lots of stress and so much laughter. I learned right along with you and wouldn't be the adviser I am without each of you.
To the advisers that gave their advice and resources to this website. Thank you for sharing with me and allowing me to share with others. I have learned so much from all of you and I am so grateful for you.
To my Kent State Master's project committee for their time and feedback on mt master's project.
To Alicia Merrifield and Katie Merritt for getting me through the master's program during some of the darkest days I have had to face the last three years. You have made me laugh, kept me going with Wordle and encouraged me in so many ways.
To Danielle Ratkowski, Kara Swenby and Kelli Cairo for being by my side every day for the last three years. You have listened to and given feedback on every crazy idea I've had. You have also been the best friends I could have ever asked for in the most painful days my family and I were going through. I would not have gotten through the last three years without you. You made me laugh, you lifted me up and you are always there. There are no words to say how thankful I am for the three of you.
To my sister Noelle MacLeay and my mom Ruth Callan, my heroes. We have been through it the last three years and there is no one else on the planet I would rather stand next to than the two of you. You have both faced such adversity with so much grace and love and you inspire me every day. You have cheered me on through this whole process and celebrated every accomplishment my kids have had right along with me. You both know more about journalism than you probably ever wanted to. Thank you will never be enough.
To my husband Eric Corbett who encouraged me to go beyond the six guest credits at Kent State and get the whole master's degree, you are my rock. You have been my strength and my support and I am eternally grateful for you. You make me laugh and always encourage me to keep going and achieve more. You listen to me go on and on about all things journalism and celebrate every milestone with me. I am so thankful for you!
Finally, to my dad Bob Callan who was here at the start of this journey, but left us much too soon. You were my biggest cheerleader always and I know you're by my side still. My goal every day is to make you proud and that will always be my greatest accomplishment.
