Recosave helps you find files Android can still access, preview them, keep local copies, and save copies to destinations you choose. The app has no account, ads, analytics, or Recosave upload server. Its core processing is local to your device.
Photos, videos, and audio: When you start a media scan, Recosave requests access to the media categories you selected. It reads file names, types, sizes, and modification times to show and filter results. It reads file contents when you preview a file or choose to secure a copy.
Documents and folders: Recosave accesses files or folders you explicitly select through Android's picker for scanning, previewing, copying, backup, restore, and export.
Local copies and integrity records: Copies you secure are stored in the app's private storage. Its local database stores source references, metadata, SHA-256 hashes, verification status, work history, and export reports. Safe Bin marks copies you intentionally protect from ordinary cleanup.
Notifications: If you allow notifications, they show background job progress and status.
Recosave does not request location, contacts, messages, or phone permissions. It does not have Internet permission to send files directly to a Recosave server.
Recosave does not automatically send your files, metadata, or hashes to EztaStudio. A file may be passed to another app when you request a preview or choose a source or destination through Android. A cloud document provider you select may upload or process files under its own privacy policy. Recosave does not control that provider's storage or retention.
Android's app sandbox restricts access to local copies and the database. Recosave compares byte counts and SHA-256 hashes when verifying copies and exports. This checks integrity; it does not prove that a file matches its historical version before deletion. Backup ZIP archives are not encrypted by Recosave. Protect sensitive exports and backups at their destinations.
Local copies remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall. Safe Bin copies are excluded from ordinary cleanup until you remove their protection. You can clear finished job and export history in Activity. Deleting a local copy removes its bytes, but related metadata and integrity evidence may remain in the local database. To remove all Recosave data from the device, clear app data in Android Settings or uninstall. Source files and exported files outside the app remain at their chosen locations and must be managed there.
Recosave is not designed specifically for children. We will update this policy and its effective date before changing how the app handles data.
