Recosave helps you find files Android can still access, check their condition, and save copies of the ones you choose. Core features run on your device without an account.
Scan device media for photos, videos, and audio. To find documents, choose a folder or specific file with Android's file picker. You can scan useful results, media modified in the last 30 days, or all media available under the permissions you grant.
Preview files before making a copy. When you choose Secure copy, Recosave copies the file into private app storage, calculates its SHA-256 fingerprint, and reads the copy back to check its integrity. Each file's status explains whether its contents could be checked fully or only byte integrity could be verified.
Features:
• Scan photos, videos, and audio that Android lets the app access
• Choose individual files or folders, including available document providers
• Preview, search, and filter by type, size, and source modification date
• Keep selected local copies in Safe Bin, away from routine cleanup
• Save copies to a location you choose, with read-back verification
• See per-file results: successful, skipped, failed, or unverified
• Create manual ZIP backups and restore Recosave backups
• Delete activity history and local copies when you choose
Recosave does not access raw storage blocks. Permanently deleted files that Android can no longer read, and that have no backup, may be impossible to recover. Scan results do not guarantee recovery. Safe Bin is neither the system trash nor an external backup. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes local copies stored inside the app. Save important files somewhere else you control.
Recosave does not upload files to a Recosave server. If you choose a cloud provider as a source or destination through Android, that provider may process the files under its own policy.
