Reflexology
An ancient therapy, reflexology addresses the hologram of the body in the hands, feet and ears. Points in each set of areas correspond to structures and organs of the body.
Working these points with directed intention stimulates the body to affect physical change thereby relieving stress and improving circulation and relaxation.
Acupressure
Using basic meridians mapped by Traditional Chinese Medicine, this therapy helps unblock the flow of energy running through the body in areas of discomfort.
Pressing points on the body indicated by various ailments can increase circulation, reduce pain, soothe digestion and anxiety and improve sleep.
Deep Tissue
“Deep Tissue” is what some use to describe a firmer, more aggressive massage and I can absolutely accommodate. But Deep Tissue Massage is a separate modality specifically targeting the deeper structures of the musculoskeletal system. It addresses more chronic conditions to help relieve pain and restore mobility. This can often be applied to a single area of the body during a therapeutic massage session.
Aromatherapy
The healing benefits of essential oils during a massage session compliment therapy. Diffused, essential oils promote health in the body, mind and spirit. Added to a carrier oil or lotion and applied to the body, the essential oils penetrate the skin to have a direct effect.
A massage can be customized to relieve pain, be invigorating, relaxing or aid in detoxification.
