Welcome to Recip-ai ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, these terms automatically apply to you. You should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the App.
Recip-ai is a smart kitchen assistant application that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to generate recipes based on text input or photograph analysis of your available ingredients.
2.1 Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer The recipes, cooking instructions, ingredient combinations, and all other content generated by the App are created using advanced third-party artificial intelligence models (such as Google Gemini). You acknowledge and agree that the AI is experimental and may produce inaccurate, incorrect, nonsensical, or unpalatable results. The Developer makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any recipe before attempting to prepare or consume it.
2.2 Food Safety and Health Warning Cooking and food preparation carry inherent risks. The App does NOT verify the safety of the recipes it generates. You must always use your own judgment, common sense, and basic food safety knowledge.
Always ensure ingredients (especially raw meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs) are cooked to safe and appropriate internal temperatures.
Always verify that the ingredients you are using are fresh, safe for consumption, and have not expired.
The App may occasionally fail to omit certain ingredients despite your documented dietary preferences or allergy settings. You are strictly responsible for checking every ingredient and recipe step for allergens before consumption. The Developer assumes no liability for any illness, food poisoning, injury, allergic reaction, or any other health or safety issue resulting from the use of the App, its generated recipes, or the preparation or consumption of any food based on its suggestions.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as detailed in the Privacy Policy. Specifically, you acknowledge that images you capture within the App are processed via a secure proxy network to third-party AI services for analysis. We also use security mechanisms like Firebase App Check to verify that the traffic is originating from a legitimate app instance.
The App offers free access with strict quota limits (e.g., maximum photo analyses and recipe generations per month) and a premium "Pro" subscription with unlimited access.
Strict Free Tier Quotas: The app algorithmically limits your usage. These quotas are linked to your device and Apple ID using on-device secure storage (Keychain) and iCloud Key-Value Sync. Deleting and reinstalling the app will not reset or bypass your monthly limits.
Premium Subscription: Premium subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via RevenueCat infrastructure. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase.
You agree not to misuse the App. You must not:
Attempt to extract the source code, translate the App, or create derivative works.
Attempt to bypass, exploit, or tamper with the app's rate limits, Firebase App Check device verification, or quota mechanisms.
Use the App's image upload capabilities to send inappropriate, illegal, or malicious content.
All intellectual property rights related to the App (excluding user-provided data and third-party AI infrastructure) belong to the Developer.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Developer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the App; (iii) any content or recipes generated using the App; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
The Developer may update these Terms of Service from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are published on this page.
