I've been a student too, so I understand how money can be. But if it's cheap, you won't listen.
Ewa Agoyin & Dodo: The Recipe for The Happier Student.
Borrowing money is really about borrowing time. As a young adult, staking your reputation for credit (if well-managed) can improve that same reputation among your creditors for even bigger loans and trust. Nothing big works without credit.
Here are the best credit management steps to reduce the risk for all of us:
New to Ewa Agoyin & Dodo? Ask for 5k, not 16k: Ask for 16k first if you believe they will refuse your 5k request upfront. When they refuse 16k, you immediately request 5k and they'll be less likely to refuse.
5k will get you the borrow plan and can be paid back easier in the unlikely event that you're not satisfied with Ewa Agoyin & Dodo, and don't want to become an owner after 3 instalments.
If you're taking a 16k loan to become an owner:
offer to pay back in 5k installments in 3 months (don't forget the 1k),
work hard to pay back before time (absolutely do not waste time, borrowing money is borrowing time), and
try to add jara on top for maximum effect.
If you can't pay back on time don't come and meet me o. Borrow the amount you can definitely repay, or you'll never recover from it even if you pay back much later or after being harassed.
Don't borrow from your mates: Your mates are within your income bracket and have more to lose, so they won't give you much grace if the unexpected happens. Do not go to loan apps. I will not save you.
Meanwhile, loaning from your older sibling or relative means you may only have to justify the expense to them, if at all. If you do and they need to speak to me, scroll down for my WhatsApp.
I don't know any guardian or sibling that won't be happy to help you improve your performance in school. If you're borrowing from a relative who gives you your allowance, you can collect it as an advance which they can deduct out of your money in the monthly instalments. If they forget (or pretend to), remind them and insist on paying back. That's how to stay respectable. Read my money blog.
A good portion of our customers have been older relatives, but from my research, you won't take Ewa Agoyin & Dodo as seriously without risking your own resources, so I now discourage them from sponsoring you.
Pro:
You don't risk your limited funds upfront.
They respect you more because you're taking your destiny in your own hands (if they find out).
You gain more of their trust for good credit habits (paying back on time) without asking for favours.
Needs little convincing for 16k if you've tried the book already and seen the results from your own 5k.
Con:
You have to stake your reputation to reach your goal (welcome to the planet).
It will pinch a bit when it's time to repay (how to make money as a student in Nigeria).
Ignore my credit advice at your own risk (I'm not liable for any wahala).
School is easier with friends. Buy with a friend, get a discount. The more buyers, the less you individually pay.
My book is ₦15,950. Buy 2 copies for ₦23,925 (pay ₦11,962.5 each) or 3 copies for ₦29,241 (pay ₦9,747 each) and so on.
Calculated using a harmonic series equation.
To get this deal:
DM recess! on any of our social media (links below) to request and we'll send you a special invoice.
Once payment is confirmed, you and your friend/friends each get a copy.
Pros:
Less upfront cost than buying alone. The more people, the less you individually pay. (Your whole class could buy if you're convincing enough.)
Full access. You & your loved ones get access to all the benefits of each individual buyer: free Ewa Agoyin Sauce, 1 year of free book updates, gifts, perks and other secret deals.
School is harder alone. You'll be able to hold each other accountable, and stay in harmony.
No piracy guilt. You'll create your own stuff too.
Feedback: I won't check in on them after buying if you get just 1 copy. That's 1 email. We're all unique. You all need to be on my mailing list.
Con:
You spend a little more money upfront than borrowing. (it's worth it)
Should anything stop you from getting this book?
I can give you this book for ₦500 for creating content for recess!. You'll need to have an average reach of at least 500 humans from your social media posts, reading your blog, or watching your YouTube videos within the past 6 months from your analytics (Accounts Reached, Unique Viewers, or Unique Visitors).
You can combine them, but naturally you'll have to promote the book on each one.
To get this deal:
DM recess! on any of our social media (links below) to kick off the process.
We'll collaborate to produce 3 pieces of content to post on your social media to promote my book.
With each post, you get a portion of the book. Once you're done, you get the complete version (with jara).
Note:
I won't ask you to post anything you're not comfortable with.
You'll be guided throughout the process and given talking points if you need them.
You can also take the content down after 6 months.
Pros:
You don't lose money. (what is ₦500 worth in this country today?)
You talk about your own experiences and connect deeper with your community.
You gain a brand collaboration with recess! 🌞 (good for bragging rights)
Cons:
You have to do real work and be accountable. (that counts in your resume)
Low-quality content won't be accepted. (we'll do our best to keep it efficient, as long as you're willing)
Try it for 48 hours, or for a month. After this, you can opt into our installment plan to own Ewa Agoyin & Dodo forever. Learn more.

No need to save up. Start hacking school from today.
Leave if you're not satisfied after the first trial.
Cons:
You pay a little more in total. (But not upfront)
You don't own your copy until your payment is complete. (Try it and see if you want to own it forever + the jara.)
I hacked school after 3 carryovers. You can too.
I tagged them on Instagram for you to verify.
