(Waukesha, Wisconsin, December 17) - The Committee to Recall Aaron Perry would like to thank all the many volunteers and supporters from all non-partisan political spectrums. We undertook a fast-paced effort that built steam faster than many could have imagined. We were on pace to collect more than enough signatures in under three weeks. Many outsiders underestimated the force of a motivated electorate in these times of COVID-19 and a pending Wisconsin winter.
We want to extend our gratitude to Aaron Perry for doing the right thing for the residents of the City of Waukesha, District 12, by allowing us to heal and move on from this current situation. We wish the whole Perry family a quick recovery and hope the rest of the community provides them the space to heal.
The Committee to Recall Aaron Perry did our level best to keep the issues based on available facts and ask that the online community allow him the opportunity to rebuild as all people deserve.
The official resignation of Aaron Perry as Alderman of District 12 in the City of Waukesha officially ends the recall efforts.
A final thought, we must understand that all politics is local. While many of us are weary of national and state politics, local politics affect us the most on a day-to-day basis. Yet, it’s frequently ignored and overlooked until it’s too late to persuade your official or get involved. So, it’s essential to stay involved and stay alert to what is happening in our communities.
We need to get back to being civic-minded and motivated to engage at the local level. The local municipalities, school boards, and committees will do what they want without us paying attention and holding them accountable. Get involved and stay involved.
Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you in the neighborhoods of District 12.

Our system of government detailed in the Federalist Papers and codified in the US and State constitutions is a representative republic. We the people, democratically elect citizens among us to represent our interests and they serve at the pleasure of the people.
The people of the City of Waukesha in District 12 have been misrepresented for far too long by Aaron Perry. We the people deserve better and better is available.
The final straw that pushed dissatisfied patriots to step in and form the Committee to Recall Aaron Perry, was his most recent domestic violence arrest. We of course believe in due process and he has the presumption of innocence of the domestic violence charges until proven guilty.
What came to light as we learned of his domestic violence arrest was that Aaron Perry has been "living," in the common everyday understanding of that term, outside of District 12. Based on previous law enforcement and emergency calls, admission by Aaron, photographic evidence, he is living and spending most of his non-working time in District 14, Ward 36.
His residency is not being made in good faith, and instead with his “fingers crossed behind his back.” We deserve better.
While there are no perfect humans, public officials that take an oath to support the constitutions of the United States and State of Wisconsin are to be held to a higher standard of conduct.
Aaron Perry has failed to adhere to the highest standards of morality according to the responsibilities of public officials detailed in the City of Waukesha Code of Ethics.
Aaron Perry has shown that he abstains from engaging in conversation related to criticisms of his performance of the office he holds and actions related therein. Furthermore, Perry shows a willful disregard for the care, needs, and concerns of his constituents putting his own interests first.
Several of the members of the Committee to Recall Aaron Perry, have made both public and personal appeals to him to take the admirable and respectable action to resign. Our appeals, were two fold, first, we believe for his own history he can "right his ship" and move on with his life outside of public life and light, and two, to save the City of Waukesha the cost and stain of recalling him.
His private and personal life, unfortunately has been made public as a consequence of his choices and actions.
There is hope on the horizon, we the people of District 12 deserve better and we must take back our representative seat by recalling Aaron Perry.
