A growing number of people choose to live their lives without holding any religious beliefs, and it is important for their wedding to reflect and respect this. As an experienced Humanist Wedding Celebrant, I am both passionate and committed to helping couples marry in the way they've always dreamed of. I’m known for my engaging, helpful and fun approach, as evidenced by the testimonials below. I create and conduct ceremonies throughout Devon, Cornwall and the West Country and further afield … including overseas, having conducted weddings in France and Spain. Whether your dream ceremony style is simple, lavish, original or traditional, I can help you realise a perfect occasion.
I want to ensure that your ceremony reflects your personalities and tells your distinctive and personal love story. During an initial conversation, either in person (or via phone, zoom or similar), I’ll ask you about yourselves and what your ideal wedding might look like, and am happy to send you examples of readings and vows that I’ve accumulated over the years. I then write a bespoke draft ceremony script, which becomes a work in progress between all of us until a final script is agreed.
Throughout the process, I’m on hand with advice, support and guidance - from the time you ask me to be your celebrant, to the moment you say 'I do' ….. and beyond, as I’m often asked to conduct future ceremonies of all types for family and friends.
Currently Humanist wedding ceremonies do not have legal status in England and Wales, so my couples tend to do a simple legal registration at a time that suits them.
