Failure to comply with these rules will be given 2 warnings before being excused from the RP group permanently. If you witness anyone breaking any of these rules, please report it to the Admins. More leeway will be given if the broken rules aren't serious (i.e. forgot to add something to bio).
instructions are on the home page, 18+ is preferred, you may be younger as long as you do not roleplay sex.
OCs: You're welcome to create your own character, or even bring a character from another fandom in to play. However, their details must be adjusted to fit the world, and be approved by the Admins.
Bio: in your bio, it must clarify that you are a part of this group, as well as if you are on hiatus (if so, discuss with the admins first). You must also signify that some of your content may be sensitive (example: 18+, mature), because it will be. You are welcome to create your own bio, as well as an extended one if you desire.
We also suggest making a pinned with all your character's information, such as backstory, height, age, etc. This will help the people you're writing with for reference, or even you if you forget something.
Following: Everyone within the group is required to follow all other group members (who will be listed by @RealmOfTheDemons). You should be able to DM the other members if you wish to plot with them, and you should be able to see what's going on in the group.
Lewd: Roleplaying sex is welcome, but not doing so is as well, depending on your comfort with it. We just ask that you keep it to DMs or mark your content with a warning. We also ask that, if you are under 18, you do not roleplay any lewd. We want to make sure no one gets in trouble.
More Than 1 Account?: You may have as many accounts as you wish within the group, so long as you keep up with all of them. Be sure to run it by the Admins. Also, you may have to audition for the additional role.
Outsiders: RPing with people not registered to the group is not permitted.
Making the character your own: other than the pre-listed details, the character's interpretation is up to you. What's their personality? Do they love their spouse? What are their motivations? Also, if details such as the family business is undecided, feel free to fill that in as well.
Character Deaths: People are not permitted to kill off other characters or their own unless it is part of an SL. If you wish for your character's demise for whatever reason, message the Admins and they can add it to an SL or work on creating one with you.
Planning Major Events: If you want to plan major events that could affect a number of characters, discuss with other members and plan as a collective. Example: killing a character, planning an attack on a castle, taking down the Veil, etc. Smaller things are between you and your RP partners, such as affairs, pregnancy, marrying your child off, having dinner, etc.
FCs: Up to writer. Please try not to change FCs frequently, and don't use the same FC as someone else. Also, please try to pick ones that look like the FCs of your character's family members (at the very least, if your character's sister is black, choose a black FC. Or maybe choose the same hair color as a parent, etc.)
Shipping: Many of the characters are already married, but that doesn't mean they're in love. Especially if the marriage was arranged for business purposes. What sort of relationship does your character have with their spouse? Do they love them? Maybe your character has an affair. Maybe your character is secretly gay. Up to you! As long as your ship/affair partner is part of the group (and of age), you're good!
Being Active: We ask for you be on at least a couple times a week to reply to SLs. If you need a break for whatever reason (including low muse), let the Admins know and we will help you come up with an in character excuse for the absence and you can go on a Hiatus or Semi-Hiatus. If you are absent with a full two weeks without contacting the admins about an excused hiatus, we will reopen your role. You are always welcome to inquire about it again later if you desire.
Writing lewd or banter does not count as being "active".
Being active will be more flexible for characters without major parts to play or who aren't participating in SLs.
Being active will be flexible if we do not have a lot of roles claimed, especially at first. It might be difficult if, say, you're the only character who lives in the castle and have no one to RP with.
Please keep in mind that if you are not super active or go on a break, we will not wait for you. Time will pass and SLs will continue without you.
Descriptiveness: We ask that the main level of descriptiveness is semi-descriptive. This can be one post (or more) so long as there's enough detail to know what's going on. More descriptiveness is welcome if you desire.
Literacy: Please try to be as proper with spelling and grammar as possible. We understand that mistakes happen, but please at least double check your reply before sending it.
Improvised RP: You are free to do improvised role play within the group given you don't do anything that could severely alter the planned out storylines (other than romances). You are welcome to meet people, walk about, do business, etc.
Continuity: Please make an effort to keep up to date with what has happened, and with the world details, so your replies make sense. We understand that mistakes happen, or people forget. Nudge your partner if you see this happen, and fix your mistake so everything makes sense.
Creating Storylines: You are more than welcome to create storylines with other characters, though if it's majorly impactful, please run it by the Admins. Also, please try to keep the Admins in the loop about your plans so they can keep everything organized, keep continuity straight, make sure plans don't clash, etc.
Banter and Crack: You're welcome to banter or do crack RPs with the other group members, so long as it isn't canon. Also know that this does not count as being active and replying to your SLs.
Posting OOC: anything that is said out of character should be perfectly clarified as so. Such as adding "#ooc" or "//", etc. somewhere in your post.
Killing/harming characters: Do not kill, or seriously harm characters unless it's part of an SL to which they have consented.
Controlling Others: Please do not attempt to control characters that are not your own. It's annoying for everyone. Exceptions being if you have a random character you're interacting with, i.e. a store clerk or part of your character's past. If it's another role or someone you're roleplaying with, please let them control themselves.
Side note: if it's an unclaimed role you, you can make vague headcanons, but those may all become null if the role becomes claimed and the writer does not want it to be part of their character. Any character dynamics must be mutually agreed upon.
Knowing Things OOC: As your character's writer, you will know most of the secrets that characters are hiding, or about SLs, etc. You are not to insert that knowledge into your character. Your character may only know if they figure it out, witness it, or are told by another character who knows. Usually, characters will only figure out major things if it's part of an SL.
God Modding: We ask that you please don't god mod, meaning make your character invincible. However, please be reasonable too. If your character is an expert fighter and facing an amateur fighter, the expert will probably win. Keep such things in mind if you're fighting.
General Respect: We ask that you respect your fellow members, including the Admins. We want everyone to have fun here, and want to avoid OOC drama. We also ask that you don't harass the other members. Respect their boundaries. If you're uncomfortable, communicate, then respect that.
We want everyone to have a voice! Have ideas for characters? SLs? World building? Let us know! We want the ideas to be thrown around, talked about, etc. Private message us or post openly OOC so others can chime in.
Feel free to reach out to us! We're here to help! :)
