This Privacy Policy explains how the RealEstateT&E mobile application (the "App"), provided by Ledger Engine Apps ("we," "us," or "our"), handles your information.
The short version: we do not collect your data. We do not run servers that store your records, we do not use analytics or advertising, and we do not sell or share your information. Your records live on your device and in your own private iCloud account, where we cannot see them.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, receive, or store any of the following on our own systems:
• Your properties, addresses, expenses, time entries, notes, or recurring entries
• Your receipt photos or property photos
• Your name, email address, or Apple ID
• Your location, contacts, or device identifiers
• Usage analytics, crash analytics, or advertising identifiers
The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. Information Stored on Your Device and in Your iCloud Account
The App stores the information you enter (property names, addresses, and photos; expenses; time entries; notes; receipt photos; and recurring entries) on your device.
If iCloud is enabled on your device, this information is also synced to your personal, private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service, so it can appear on your other devices signed in to the same iCloud account. This data is stored in your iCloud account's private database. It is accessible to you, not to us; we cannot view, access, or recover it.
iCloud is provided by Apple and is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). Photos are resized and compressed before they are saved and count toward your iCloud storage.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, your information is stored only on your device.
3. Sign in with Apple
The App uses Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple gives the App an anonymous user identifier and, only if you choose to share it, your name. This information is stored only on your device and is used only to keep you signed in and personalize the App. It is not sent to us. We never receive your Apple ID password.
You can stop using Sign in with Apple for the App at any time in your iPhone's Settings > [your name] > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple.
4. Camera, Photo Library, and Notifications
• Camera: With your permission, the App uses your camera so you can take photos of receipts and properties.
• Photo Library: You can choose photos from your library using Apple's photo picker. The App only receives the specific photos you select.
• Receipt Scanning: When you add a receipt photo to an expense, the App can read it to suggest the store, amount, date, and category. This happens entirely on your device, using Apple's built-in text recognition and, on supported devices, Apple Intelligence's on-device model. The receipt image and the text read from it are never sent to us or to anyone else, and the text is not stored; only the details you confirm and the photo you choose to attach are saved with the entry.
• Notifications: If you turn on the daily reminder, the App schedules a reminder notification on your device. These notifications are created on your device and are not sent from our servers.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app.
5. Exports and Sharing
When you export a PDF report, CSV file, or zip file of photos, the file is created on your device and shared only to the destination you choose (for example, email, Messages, or the Files app) through the iOS share sheet. Exports can contain personal and financial information, including property addresses and receipt photos. Once shared, the file is handled by the app or service you chose and is outside our control.
6. Contacting Us
If you email us at LedgerEngineApps@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to respond to you and do not add you to any mailing list.
7. Deleting Your Information
Because your records are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account, you control them:
• Delete individual entries or properties in the App. Deletions sync to your other devices and iCloud.
• Delete everything using Settings > Delete Account in the App. This permanently deletes all of your properties, expenses, time entries, recurring entries, and photos from your device and from iCloud.
• Deleting the App removes data from that device; data synced to iCloud remains in your iCloud account until you delete it in the App or manage your iCloud storage in your device's Settings.
Signing out of the App does not delete your data.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for adults who own or manage rental real estate and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. California and Other U.S. Privacy Rights
We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state laws, and we do not use personal information for targeted advertising. Because we do not collect or hold your records, there is no personal information about you in our possession to access, correct, or delete beyond any emails you send us. 10. Security
Your records are protected by your device's security and by Apple's iCloud security, including encryption in transit and at rest. You are responsible for keeping your device and Apple ID secure, such as with a passcode and two-factor authentication.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features. When we do, we will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how your information is handled, we will provide notice in the App or on this page before the change takes effect.
