Purpose of the Toolkit
The toolkit is primarily intended to enable teachers and caregivers to facilitate children's language acquisition and literacy. Reading is a complicated process, and the earlier intervention occurs, the better the chances that all learners will be successful. Therefore, by centering on the Science of Reading, Scarborough's Reading Rope, and phonological awareness, this toolkit provides a systematic stepwise process that addresses the problems of reading disabilities in students of all levels.
