Privacy Policy for ReadAI
Effective date: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the ReadAI mobile application on Android and iOS (the “App”) and the related ReadAI services. It explains what information is processed, why it is processed, how it is protected, and the choices available to users.
1. Developer and contact
The App is identified as ReadAI (Android package: dev.tfox.readai). For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact the ReadAI developer at adana160493@gmail.com.
2. Information we process
Depending on the features you use, ReadAI may process:
• Account and authentication information: email address; account identifier; authentication provider; and limited profile information returned by Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple when you choose those methods.
• User content: books and documents you upload, selected text or book excerpts, questions and prompts, notes, bookmarks, flashcards, translations, reading progress, preferences, and a profile image you choose to add.
• Purchase information: subscription or purchase status and transaction identifiers provided by Google Play or Apple. ReadAI does not receive or store full payment-card details.
• Technical and security information: IP address, device and operating-system information, app version, request timestamps, server logs, error information, and security signals needed to operate and protect the service.
• Support information: your email address and the content of messages you send to support.
ReadAI does not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, health data, government identifiers, or advertising identifiers. The App does not sell personal data and does not use personal data for third-party targeted advertising.
3. How information is collected
Information is provided directly by you when you create or use an account, upload content, use AI-powered features, make a purchase, choose a profile image, or contact support. Limited technical information is generated automatically when the App communicates with ReadAI servers. Authentication and purchase providers send ReadAI the information needed to verify sign-in or entitlement status.
4. Purposes of processing
ReadAI uses information to:
• create, authenticate, secure, and manage accounts;
• provide reading, synchronization, translation, text-to-speech, question answering, summaries, flashcards, and other AI-assisted features;
• store and synchronize user-selected content and reading progress;
• verify subscriptions and restore purchases;
• provide support and respond to requests;
• prevent abuse, investigate errors, maintain security, and improve reliability; and
• comply with applicable law and enforce service terms.
5. AI processing and user content
When you deliberately use an AI-powered feature, the text, prompt, selected excerpt, or other content needed for that request may be sent to ReadAI servers and to an AI service provider, including OpenAI, to produce the requested result. Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the feature. AI output may be inaccurate and should be reviewed by the user.
6. Service providers and disclosures
ReadAI may disclose only the information necessary to service providers acting for the purposes described above, including:
• Google Firebase and Google Sign-In for authentication and related infrastructure;
• Apple for Sign in with Apple and App Store services;
• Google Play and Apple App Store for purchases and subscription verification;
• OpenAI for user-requested AI, language, speech, and content-processing features;
• hosting, storage, security, and email-delivery providers used to operate the service; and
• authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect users, rights, safety, and the service.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments. ReadAI does not sell personal data.
7. Device permissions
The App uses internet access to provide online features. It may request access to files or photos only when you choose a book, document, or profile image. Platform permission controls can be changed in Android or iOS settings, although disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
8. Security
ReadAI uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Data transmitted between the App and production services is protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Access is limited to what is needed to operate and support the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Retention and deletion
Account data and server-stored user content are retained while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. Security logs, transaction records, deletion-request records, and information required for legal, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes may be retained for the applicable legal or operational period. Data may remain in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten in the ordinary cycle.
You can request deletion in the App from Profile → Delete account, or follow the instructions on the Account & Data Deletion page of this site. After a verified request, ReadAI deletes or de-identifies the account and associated server-stored personal data, except information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. Data stored only on your device can be removed by clearing App data or uninstalling the App.
10. User choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal data, and may object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. You may sign out, stop using the App, change device permissions, or request account deletion at any time. Contact adana160493@gmail.com to exercise a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Children
ReadAI is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided such data, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted.
12. International processing
ReadAI and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.
13. Changes
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the App, service providers, or legal requirements. The effective date above will be changed when the Policy is updated. Material changes will be communicated through the App or another appropriate channel when required.
