Through the RBB multi literacy program we aspire to develop and empower children to share their stories of everyday life, their dreams, aspirations, ideas, through writing, illustrating through words and pictures. We aspire to develop the craft of writing, reading strategies, while understanding the role of media and information to become fluent communicators. The NEP 2020 and the CBSE literacy program supports mentoring young authors by CBSE.
Workshops Offered by Read Bloom Books
Write - Remix - Create Comics
Students will learn the elements of a comic book. They will learn about panels, thought & speech bubbles, action and motion while creating their own comic book.
eSkills
Through this course, children will learn to use safe search engines to locate information, images and learn about fake news and become responsible digital citizens.
Google Gyan
Students will learn how to effectively use Google, Wikihow, Wikipedia to build on their learning and curiosities.
Infographics
Through this workshop students will learn about design, when and how to use infographics as a visual representation of information. It can also be used for creating awareness for social action.
Learn about Podcast
Students will listen to podcasts, create a script and learn about the nuances of the podcast and finally create a podcast to share with the community.
Page Turners Reading Club
Reading, imagining, & creating stories. Participants will be reading stories of various genres and understanding the various elements of a story, how to create a story in various formats, and learn to appreciate stories in various cultures.
Through the week, students will have an insight on how social media works. Each of these social media handles have their own language and structure. This workshop will involve lots of conversations around the use and creating of social media.
Through this workshop students develop the creative idea with the objective of giving fairytales a modern spin, perhaps changing the setting, adding humor or changing the genre. Students inculcate design thinking and creative writing.
Story ki Paathshala
Imagination is the key to entering the land of stories. Explore the art of creating fictional worlds and characters. In this workshop children will be guided on how to express their imagination, feelings and ideas through creative writing. They will get an opportunity to become their favourite author and create & write their own story.
Understanding Fake and Real News
Through this workshop, students will look closely at news products to analyze biases, perspectives and information accurately and learn how important it is to make personal decisions and choices based on personal beliefs and value systems.
Through this workshop, students will learn how the media is created and how they impact our choices. Students will learn about color, design, and purpose when creating and viewing media.
Through this workshop, students will learn how to showcase authentic projects based on interest and passion while ethically using and sharing images and information for their project work. Students will understand the importance of academic integrity
