(Academic Activities & Achievements)

I am Dr.R.D. Sivakumar, holding M.Sc., M.Phil., M.Tech., and Ph.D. degrees with sixteen years of teaching experience in various reputable colleges. Currently, I am serving as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Bell Institute in Sivakasi. Since September 2021, I have also held the position of Hostel Warden at Bell Institute.

In addition to my teaching role, I have been working as an E-content Reviewer for Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in New Delhi. I have also served as the Coordinator for IGNOU in Sivakasi.

I am proud to mention that I achieved distinction and ranked highly in my M.Sc. degree program. I have completed an impressive 474 online courses, including 6 professional courses, 2 short-term courses, 3 certificate courses, and 1 online diploma course.

Throughout my career, I have received 36 academic awards, 5 trophies, 37 professional badges, 38 appreciations, and 7 prizes from various prestigious organizations and institutions.

I participated in the World Record event titled "A Remarkable Feat in Research Paper Collection," which was organized by the Post Graduate Department of English at Saradha Gangadharam College, Puducherry, in association with Vaagai Tamil Sangam, JEC Publication, and All India Book of Records on July 26, 2023. My dedicated and committed participation played a significant role in making the National Seminar on "Multidisciplinary Research and Practice" a resounding success. My invaluable research paper on the topic of  "Mobile Marketing Strategies for Small Businesses" enriched the intellectual discourse and contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in my respective field. The primary goal of this seminar was to set a world record by collecting an extensive array of research papers within a remarkably short span of time. Through the active involvement of participants like myself, a total of 602 research papers were successfully compiled during the designated period from May 1, 2023, to May 31, 2023.This achievement highlights my dedication to research and my ability to actively participate in significant academic endeavors.

I have played a crucial role in developing ICT curricula and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curricula, which have received high praise from the Board of Studies, College Council, and Academic Council.

In my teaching practice, I have incorporated innovative methods, fostering a dynamic learning environment. I have created 17 E-Contents (in compliance with UGC guidelines), 522 video lectures, 411 audio books, 42 mobile apps, 109 academic Android QR codes, 28 online quiz websites, 6 e-books, and 1 educational CD.

Furthermore, I have prepared 584 academic handout notes (PPTs), 3 e-materials, 10 e-memes, 6 question banks, and 28 e-comprehensions. In my teaching, I have actively utilized 45 social media platforms, all of which are referenced in our college curriculum.

With the shift to online learning, I have successfully conducted classes using platforms such as Google Classroom, CISCO WebEx, YouTube, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

I have an extensive track record of completing 90 consultancy projects (amounting to Rs. 3,62,500) for website development and 3 academic projects in the same field.

As an academic guide, I have mentored 43 PG students, 2 UG students, 4 institutional training programs, and 4 environmental projects. Additionally, I hold 5 international patents and have 7 patents published in the Indian Patent Journal.

My scholarly contributions include 22 e-books with ISBN, 19 research articles in journals with ISSN, 58 research articles in proceedings with ISBN, and 95 articles in magazines. I have presented 114 papers at various seminars and conferences, both nationally and internationally.

I am an active participant in academic development, having attended 1,452 workshops, seminars, conferences, faculty development programs, skill development programs, faculty enrichment programs, and webinars.

I have excelled in online quizzes, having completed 10 organized by various esteemed organizations and institutions. My dedication to research and consultancy has earned me numerous appreciations and cash incentives.

In my role as an academic coordinator, I have organized and led 12 online short-term courses, 5 crash courses, and 7 summer courses. I have also established 126 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various respected institutions and organizations.

My commitment to innovation is reflected in the numerous academic initiatives I have spearheaded, including 4 seminars, 3 conferences, 5 workshops, 4 inter-collegiate meets, 3 literacy programs, 5 webinars, 30 staff development programs, 148 skill development initiatives, 120 guest lectures, 46 career-oriented events, 33 video lectures, 378 student enrichment programs, 16 extension activities, 5 awareness campaigns, 73 alumni interactions, 5 mock interviews, 25 important day celebrations, 26 pledge programs, 9 online quiz events, 3 study tours, 2 parents-teachers association (PTA) meetings, and 71 sensitization programs, all benefiting our staff, researchers, and students.

Furthermore, I have served as an editor for eleven magazines and conference proceedings and am an active member of six professional bodies. Additionally, I hold advisory committee positions in three reputable journals and serve as a reviewer for nine national and international journals.

I have shared my expertise as a resource person in 49 programs, including guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and conferences at various esteemed institutions and universities. I have also delivered five motivational addresses, one felicitation address, and 378 presidential addresses at various academic forums.

As a staff guardian, I have provided guidance and support to 116 students. I have held various positions such as coordinator, assistant coordinator, general in-charge for internal and model examinations, convener, and member in various academic bodies. Additionally, I have actively participated in various co-curricular activities and prepared 73 academic reports, including those for UGC, NAAC, and DST-FIST, for the benefit of our institution.
