Robbie, a striking dun gelding known for his gentle nature and steady, reliable ways.
With his calm presence and kind heart, he supported many riders during his time at RDA Kendall, always taking everything in his stride.
In that time, Robbie gave so much to our riders, helping them build confidence, balance, and trust.
Strong yet soft, Robbie had a natural ability to make people feel safe — whether they were riding, grooming, or simply spending time with him. His beautiful colouring and peaceful personality made him a favourite among volunteers and participants alike.
Robbie was with us for around three years before moving on to live with a kind owner and a life of green pastures and gentle trail rides.
Although he is now enjoying retirement, Robbie remains a much-loved part of the RDA Kendall story.

Ari - the photogenic
The gorgeous Ari (short for Aristos) a handsome Warmblood x Stock Horse gelding who turned heads wherever he went. A striking burnt buckskin coat and elegant build, standing at 15.2 hands high.
At around 19–20 years old (as of March 2025), Ari brought both experience and a calm presence to RDA Kendall, where he’ was a part of the team for about two years.
Before joining RDA, he had quite the adventurous life — competing in eventing, pony club, and even playing horseball (yes, that’s a thing!).
Despite his gentle ways, Ari was ready for a change of pace — a quieter life where he could enjoy the company of just one loving owner who would care for him, offer gentle rides, and give him the affection he thrives on.
He may have a sporty past, but at heart, Ari was a big softie — affectionate, sensitive, and very easy to fall in love with.

Such a pretty girl. Sister to Robbie.
Cedar has come to us in 2018 as an 18yr old Australian Stock horse cross Warm blood. She had been Pareli trained and competed in dressage and shows. She was the matriarch of the horses and formed an alliance with Flare who was the patriarch of the herd.
Cedar was proudly sponsored by Muriel Gauld.

Jamie was a lovely-natured Arab. He came to RDA Kendall when he was 22 years old.
At the time of the photo, he had been with RDA Kendall for 5 years and was feeling his age then at age 27 and battling cancer.
Jamie was a most trusting horse even when subjected to the many injections and invasive treatments that he had to endure.
Jamie was found a loving home for his twilight years leaving RDA Kendall February 2019

The beautiful Dash was a full-bred Arab and the Don Juan of the RDA Kendall horses. At the time of the photo, he had been with the Centre for 2 years and was 13 years old.
Dash was bred for endurance but suffered a bone chip in his hock as a young horse which deemed him ineligible for endurance.
He was a prima donna drama queen and very cheeky, he even ate his saddle.
During Dash’s time with RDA Kendall he was proudly sponsored by the Kendall Op Shop.

Lulu came to us later in life. At the time she was of an indeterminate age but obviously very old and feeling her age.
Lulu has always had an air about her of been there done that which of course she probably had.
Despite her age she soldiered on being the loyal sole that she was.

Faith - an unraced horoughbred. She was very affectionate and had lovely nature, but also had a stubborn streak.
She had a bit of a Houdini about her as she was able to shake her head free from her headstall so she could wander off to join the other horses.
