I successfully completed my Master’s in Biomedical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Zartasha Mustansar, and I continue to work as a PhD student under her supervision at RCMS. In my master’s degree, I worked on a funded project titled “Finite Element Modeling of Intracranial Pressure in cases of patient suffering from Brain tumor” of which Dr. Zartasha was principal investigator.

2. Past three and half years have been really instrumental in my career and in intellectual growth. The experience of working under her supervision, especially in the funded project which to be blunt was a daunting challenge, has really helped me to actualize various knowledge-based toolkits which are necessary to understand and explain complex phenomenon. And, in moment of candor, let me admit that without her constant guidance, encouragement and support, it would have been difficult to complete my dissertation work.

I am Muhammad Uzair Ul Haq, an alumnus. I completed my Masters in Biomedical Engineering from NUST in 2020. I have worked on the HEC Funded project titled as “Development and reconstruction of geometrically accurate models (3D) of Human Brain for calculation of Intracranial Pressure (ICP) due to presence of tumors Using Image based modeling and Finite Elements”, the project was very interesting and challenging as it was seminal work in the domain. The project was completed under the supervision of Dr. Zartasha Mustansar, whose guidance and knowledge of biomechanics and computational modelling played a pivotal role.

The working environment of RCMS is very friendly. The research community is collaborative and helpful.

The CBE group of RCMS is a place where my journey to the world of research began. As one of its early members, I cannot be proud enough to be a part of it. The place had a feeling of home, blessing of mentors, and warmth of friendship. Within months, the group evolved quickly thanks to the RCMS administration and the core CBE research team.
