Nabisha Farooq was working our MS student in Computational Biomedical Engineering Research at RCMS Group. She used Fluid Structure Interaction, Machine Learning, Digital Image Processing in her thesis titled: Computational Modeling of coronary blood flow in 3D; using Image based FE – Modeling and Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI).
Nabisha graduated from RCMS as Biomedical Engineer and currently working both as an autonomous researcher and in liaison with an international research team on various biomedical oriented projects.

My experience with a mentor like Dr. Zartasha had been amazing. I have learned and experienced so many things in a short period of time. I enjoyed studying Image processing and Modelling of physiological systems. The best part of this degree was that it introduced me to so many new concepts that changed my views about the biomedical engineering.Life at RCMS had been a great experience and I made the most out of it.

My internship at RCMS had been a very unique experience. It has provided me with a great chance to learn the concepts of Computational Biomechanics. I worked on the project titled “Designing Stitching Algorithm for Computational and Constitutive Geometric Modeling of Bone’s Mechano-sensitivity in Fractured Bones”. In this project I learnt image processing using MATLAB and the complete process for development of an algorithm. I am really thankful to Dr. Zartasha for her guidance and for providing me with this opportunity.

M. Haris Rehman (Intern at RCMS) - 2019

My experience of participation in the internship program was delightful. I learnt the concepts of Numerical Modeling, Image Processing, and use of supercomputer in the Internship. It was not only the opportunity for me to learn the basics of Computational Biomedical Engineering but also to embrace the community, and ethics, the work environment brings along. I am very thankful to Dr. Zartasha for giving me opportunity in the internship program at RCMS.

Mario Sabathy (Intern at RCMS) - 2019

Thanks to the supervision of Dr. Zartasha and the support of her team and the other interns my internship at the RCMS department was a wonderful time full where I could deepen my knowledge in various fields. During my project I generated a 3D model with MIMICS and 3-Matic out of 2D MRI pictures and applied a mechanical force to this digital bone model with Abaqus to calculate the displacement.Not only that this task was a perfect complement to my studies at my home university, I also got a huge insight regarding cultural aspects and way of living in Pakistan, which additionally gave me an unaffordable knowledge. I really appreciated and enjoyed working with Dr. Zartasha, her team and the department and would like to thank all the people for the wonderful experience
