Dr. Wenndy Pray is proud to be a member of her campus leadership team and is excited to collaborate, encourage, and serve as a resource to students, faculty, and the community. She firmly believes that personal connections to content or disciplines strengthen the learning experience, and her goal is to identify these connections and facilitate student growth. She encourages readers with the ever-present mentality that they are tomorrow's citizens - tomorrow's world.
Dr. Pray graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a double major in English and Spanish and has been an educator since 2008. She has taught English Language Arts in all middle school grades and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2012. She has also taught English Language Arts in various capacities at the high school level. She received a graduate degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University and has been a certified librarian since 2017. She completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University.

In Rafael Cantu Jr. High, Dr. Pray serves as an instructional resource for the entire faculty, offering innovative ideas, supplemental materials, and curated resources to help enrich classroom instruction. In addition to instructional support, she assists with a variety of school-wide initiatives and duties, including:
Reading Initiatives: She monitors student progress, provides reports, and coordinates incentive rewards using Beanstack, MackinVIA, or other associated programs,
Technology Support: Dr. Pray collaborates with students and faculty to integrate educational use of technology and assists in basic troubleshooting of technology issues
Library Resource Center (LRC) Management: Dr. Pray maintains circulation records, tracks library visits and overall usage reports, keeps the LRC open and accessible, and maintains an instructional resource section for teacher use.
Social Media Management: Helps promote library and campus activities
Other duties such as supporting Special Programs: Assists with festivals, assemblies, dances, and other campus-wide events,
