A lot of people have misconceptions about the Catholic Church. Catholic Answers is a media company that answers questions about what the Church really teaches with apologetics. We are the largest organization of our kind.
Catholic Answers is a media ministry that serves Christ by explaining and defending the Catholic faith. We help Catholics grow in their Faith, we bring former Catholics home, and we lead non-Catholics into the fullness of the truth.
Catholic Answers works to ensure our content is faithful to the Magisterium. Our staff apologists have decades of practice in apologetics, and several hold advanced degrees in theology and philosophy. We maintain a broad list of associates (clergy and laymen) who are experts in the fields of liturgy, history, bioethics, theology, philosophy, canon law, and more. We have close friendships with members of the Church hierarchy across the United States and in Rome.
The St. Paul Center is a nonprofit research and educational institute that promotes life-transforming Scripture study from the heart of the Church.
Our goal is to be a teacher of teachers. We want to raise up a new generation of priests who are fluent in the Bible and lay people who are biblically literate. For us, this means more than helping people to know their way around the Bible. It means equipping them to enter into the heart of the living Word of God.
We read the Bible from the heart of the Church, in light of the Church’s Liturgy and living Tradition. In this way, we hope to help people experience the heart-to-heart encounter that Jesus’ disciples experienced on that first Easter night, when they knew Him in the breaking of the bread: "Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked to us…while He opened to us the Scriptures?" (see Luke 24:13-37)
These are brief and insightful commentaries on faith and culture by Catholic theologian and author Bishop Robert Barron. The videos complement his weekly sermons posted and podcasted at WordOnFire.org.

Check out their YouTube show for an “enter-forming” (that’s entertaining and informing, of course) trip through 2,000 years of Church history and doctrine. They'll talk about faith, prayer, and the Bible with heartfelt insight, animation, and questionable wig choices.

Our name comes from John 1:39 —“It was about the tenth hour.” This passage marks the moment of encounter with Christ. For each of us, this moment is one in which we remember the “when, where, and how” just as we would on our wedding day or the birth of our children. This moment changes the trajectory of our lives.
At 10th Hour we create and support media that will help bring about this encounter or a renewed encounter in the lives of those who experience our stories. After millions of views and countless stirrings of the heart, it is our mission to produce media content, including films, television series, and books, with the scope to reach tens or hundreds of millions on a worldwide scale.

Authors
Remember that any book who's author's name starts with St. (authored by a saint) is generally safe. Don't assume that because a book is by a priest that it's theologically sound or orthodox.
Feel free to ask the team about any books or authors you are curious about. If you're curious about a topic, we can probably give you a few books to look into. We could probably lend from our personal libraries or help you get an inexpensive copy of something good.
Remember to look for these: Nihil obstat ("Nothing obstructs") | Imprimi potest ("It can be printed") |Imprimatur ("Let it be printed") on the first page or inside cover of books and bibles. This is a negative guarantee. It doesn't mean that what is printed is approved or is true (the book could be the author's personal opinion), but that what is written does not conflict with established teachings of the church. See Imprimaturs and Private Revelations by Jimmy Akin.
