We will not set a periodization calendar as far as our tactical and technical elements this season. However, we will implement periodization in terms of taking the proper steps during the season to reduce the workload and stress on the body and mind. We will not train with the same level of physical exertion and detail every day, but continuously work hard with mental focus and intensity in bursts to ensure our team is ready for each match both mentally and physically. This may also be in the form of implementing compensation training for players that are not seeing enough minutes to ensure their fitness levels and skills are improving so they can have the opportunity to contribute to the team during matches.
High intensity training in specific or condensed areas or tactically focused. Mid to lower complexity that is focused on technical ability, quick reactions and proactive movements to help speed up play. These elements may be tactically focused to improve off-ball movement or rotations.
Large space training and game-like. Maximizing space in preparation for matches. Improve timing of movements, rotations and passing. High complexity and situational.
Recovery is assisting players that require muscle/fitness/mental recovery after intense, long match minutes.
