curious about opportunities at the next level
If any of these speak to you, we have something for you:
An opportunity to work competitive boys and girls HS varsity games with on court feedback and at least two video game breakdowns
Engaging and valuable classroom sessions
A knowledgeable staff composed of HS state tournament officials, mens and women's collegiate playoff officials and FIBA officials,
Referee Basic Training (RBT) is led by directors who have over 15 years of experience organizing and leading various local training sessions. Staff consists of officials who have worked high school State tournaments, collegiate officials, high school and collegiate observers, and FIBA officials. RBT utilizes NFHS 3-person mechanics as the vehicle to develop new and more experienced basketball officials. All sessions will be held from September 11 - 13, 2026 at Auburn Riverside High School, Auburn, WA. Not only is this a great opportunity to get great instruction from a staff with a wide range of experiences, but to also prepare for the upcoming season. There will also be a camp social on Saturday night.
RBT is a teaching camp, but we have extended invitations to the following Special Guests:
women's and men's assignors from the NWAC, Cascade, Northwest and GNAC conferences
the women's D2 coordinator of officials
an NBA scout
These Special Guests have offered contracts to a few RBT campers each year.
