July 20 marks the anniversary of the first landing by humans on the moon, an amazing feat of engineering, perseverance and determination. The moon is almost 230 thousand miles away from Earth and is slowly moving farther away each year. The moon is more than a beacon of light in the night sky, it plays a vital role to life on Earth including our ocean tides.
The UN uses August 12 as the day to highlight issues facing young people and celebrates youth engagement. It's a time to recognize and elevate the voices of young people working toward a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future.
