How To Get The Latest Fencing Product Installed At Your Home For Free?
Many people will be shocked at the title of this article and assume that it is just clickbait but it is very possible for you to do this. There are a few caveats that I will cover as we go deeper into this strategy. So, as we begin let me first start with the logic behind this concept.
LOGIC
Every company that wants to attract customers spends a certain percentage on marketing irrespective of the industry and the size of the company. A software business will spend on getting its advertisement in tech publications and email marketing and a construction company will do the same except with a construction-related publication. The difference between the two, however, is that with construction and physical end product industries you pay for what you see and touch and inspect, not for a pretty banner Ad and website.
This means that the greatest form of marketing is physically supplying the product. The first payment is from the completion of the first job and the next three are the payments that come as a result of referrals from the first job. So, in theory, a company that is confident of its ability to deliver can provide a service at a significant discount with the expectation that it will pay off later which it usually does. GOOGLE SEARCH
You may be wondering at this point “Where do I find these companies?” to which I have a simple answer, Google it. On average companies that use Google Ads and that are consistently ranking on the Ads are spending an average of R20 000 a month just on google. This excludes any other printed publication such as a local newspaper or classifieds type publication. However, here is the secret sauce to this formula; just searching fencing companies won’t work. You have to search for “ClearVu fencing manufacturing companies” or “Clear View fencing manufacturing companies”.
Now, this opportunity exists because of something unique that happened in the South African Fencing Industry. The first company to manufacture High-Density mesh panels (commonly referred to as ClearVu fencing) exploded in growth in the local and international market and charged high pricing as there was very little to no competition. Several other companies identified this opportunity and just like Bitcoin, there was very soon an unprecedented level of competition in the industry. You will need to note down the top 10 companies that pop up in your area and note these down. Do this at least three times a week for one month and aim to do it during weekdays. Yes, this is a bit of work (If 10 minutes is that life-changing) but the end goal is a free fence.
Once you have done your one-month personal research thesis you will have a list of the top 10 biggest marketers of High-Density Mesh fencing. What this means to us though is that we have the 10 companies that are most desperate to get their product out.
PREPARE YOUR PROPOSAL
This is the most important part of our master plan- the proposal. This is not about drafting a business plan or even a formal letter but thinking about what is in it for them? If you live in a 20 story block of flats and you want some panels to keep your cats away from your birds please stop reading. For the company to benefit you have to show the marketing value that putting fencing in your property will have. This doesn’t mean that you have to live in Strand, Sandton, or Umhlanga but it does mean that your house is adjacent to a very busy road. If you have a corner plot you may have struck gold.
This is where you have to note the dynamics of your community such as the LSM (income level) level of your community. The risk level of your neighborhood will also come into play (the riskier the better). The types of fences that other houses have will also be of importance here. All that you are doing now is trying to show that there will be many benefits for the company by partnering with you. You must be willing to have a reasonable size signboard on your fence as well just to sweeten the deal.
Once you have built your little sales pitch call the 10 companies and then (this is the fun part) tell them about each other. Tell them that you have offers from other companies but you like their brand and would like to have their product on your property. The price will disappear at times but even if it doesn’t the discount will be huge. Get an agreement in place where it is clear that you will either pay nothing or pay a discounted amount and then set the time frame for the agreement. Again, the longer the timeframe the sweeter the deal for the manufacturer or distributor. This method will also work with those who own industrial or commercial properties in key areas.
Just remember that you have nothing to lose by trying this out and if your property is in an ideal location well done. If it’s not the most ideal location you can still push hard for some discounts.
