Raziur Rahman

I am now working as a "Machine Learning and Computational Biology Research Fellow" in Data Science and Learning Division in Argonne National Laboratory, Chicago, IL. In ANL, I am developing machine-learning algorithms and bioinformatics/database systems that automatically link the various phenotypes and genotypes to correctly determine the pathogenic nature of queried bacterial cells. I have received my PhD degree from Electrical and Computer Engineering department in Texas Tech University (TTU), Lubbock, TX. My PhD dissertation was focused on applying novel machine learning algorithms in cancer pharmacogenomics data to create efficient predictive models for personalized therapy. In TTU, I was working in Biomedical Integrated Devices and Systems (BIDS) lab with the supervision of Dr. Ranadip Pal. Previously I have received my Bachelor in Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh and Masters of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, USA.
