I am currently an independently-funded mathematician, and an informal research affiliate at the University of California, San Diego, where I am a member of Brendon Rhoades's research group.
I got my Ph.D at the University of California, Davis; my advisor was Erik Carlsson. I was a Stefan E. Warschawski Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Diego from July 2023-June 2026. My primary mentor was Brendon Rhoades.
Additionally, I am a Research Fellow for Surge AI.
I am interested primarily in algebraic combinatorics, algebraic geometry, and representation theory. My main research interests are Schubert Calculus/affine Schubert calculus; I like anything involving flag varieties, Grassmannians, Springer fibers, Hessenberg varieties, and their affine variants. My research usually involves Macdonald theory, and my main objects of study have been centered around the ring of diagonal coinvariants/diagonal harmonics and their many variants.
Additionally, I also do evaluation work for AI models. I have experience testing frontier models and evaluating the mathematical capabilities of AI models. I am also interested in mathematics formalization, specifically via Lean 4 as part of my AI work.
