Rate Max ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. Your privacy matters: We process your photos temporarily on secure cloud servers for analysis, but we do not permanently store your photos or create any facial recognition database. All analysis results are stored locally on your device only.
When you use Rate Max, we may collect the following personal information:
Account Information: Email address, display name, and password (encrypted) when you create an account
Authentication Data: User ID and authentication tokens provided by Firebase Authentication
Note: This is the ONLY personal information stored on our servers.

Analysis Results: Facial feature scores, recommendations, and archetype classifications are stored only on your device
Analysis History: All past analyses and their results remain on your device

Device Information: Device type, operating system version (for app compatibility)
Usage Analytics: Anonymized app usage statistics (which features are used, crash reports) via Firebase Analytics
Log Data: Technical error logs for debugging (does not include photos or analysis results)
Create and maintain your user account
Authenticate your identity when you log in
Provide password reset functionality
Temporary Cloud Processing: Your photos are temporarily uploaded to our secure Google Cloud servers for analysis
Immediate Processing: Analysis happens in real-time using MediaPipe technology
Automatic Deletion: Photos are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after analysis is complete (within seconds)
No Permanent Storage: We do not save, store, or create any database of your photos
No Facial Recognition: We do not use your photos for facial recognition, identification, or any purpose beyond providing your analysis
Results to Device: Analysis results are sent back to your device and stored locally only
Analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve App functionality

Hive Database: Encrypted local storage on your device

Processing Location: Photos are temporarily uploaded to our secure servers hosted on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Run)
Processing Method: We use MediaPipe technology to detect facial landmarks and calculate feature scores
Processing Duration: Analysis takes only a few seconds
Automatic Deletion: Your photo is automatically deleted from our servers immediately after analysis is complete
No Storage: We do not save your photos to any database, cloud storage, or file system
No Retention: Photos exist in server memory only during active processing
Secure Transmission: All uploads use HTTPS encryption
Single Use: Each photo is used only once for your requested analysis and then permanently deleted
We use Firebase services (a Google service) for:
Authentication Only: Secure user login and account management

Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all local data from your device

On Our Servers:
Active Accounts: We retain your email and user ID while your account is active
Deleted Accounts: Authentication data is permanently deleted within 30 days
On Your Device:
Your Control: You decide when to delete your local analysis data
App Uninstall: All local data is removed when you uninstall the app
Rate Max is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with information, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.
We use Firebase only for user authentication:
Stores: Email, display name, encrypted password, user ID
We use Google's MediaPipe library for facial landmark detection:

We do not create or store biometric identifiers:

No facial recognition or identification capability

Analysis results are simple numerical scores, not biometric identifiers

Cannot identify or re-identify individuals from stored data
Results stored on your device are geometry scores, not biometric data
Your data may be processed in different countries:
Authentication Data: Stored on Firebase servers (may be in various regions)
Photo Processing: Temporarily processed on Google Cloud servers (your selected region)
Immediate Deletion: Photos deleted before they could be transferred elsewhere
Local Storage: Analysis results remain on your device in your country
