Lab Director:
The RARE Lab is lead by Dr. Jenna Laurin. She received her BS in Psychology and BA in Sociology at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Laurin then went on to earn her MA and PhD in General/Experimental Psychology, also at the University of North Dakota. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at MSUM. The RARE Lab includes a number of undergraduate psychology students and collaborators from various institutions in the region. Dr. Laurin's research areas of interest include the impacts of restrictions on those wanting or needing to access women's reproductive healthcare, abortion stigma, the impacts of OER and representation practices in post-secondary education, and self-esteem and self-efficacy in children with birth defects.
