Retired laptops, digital & Instax cameras, cell phones wanted!
Are you aware that many inner-city schools and classes taught in remote locations often provide students with a single disposable camera for their entire photography unit because there is a lack of funding to update or upgrade classroom technology? Are you a tech hoarder who can't bear to part with things unless you know they're going to a good place? Send us the technology collecting dust in your home, office, or studio and we will put it to good use!
Rare Earth Outreach uses donated cameras to deliver programming to groups who do not have access to necessary equipment and technology. We can accept any brand or model of (retired but still functional) digital cameras including DSLR, point-and-shoot, and cell phones with working cameras, and Instax cameras and film. We also accept working older model laptops (any make or model) that can be used while plugged in, even if the battery isn't in the greatest shape as well as bags and backpacks, tripods, lighting and triggers, and anything else you think would make for a stellar learning experience!
Please send your older (but still functional*) technology to:

If, upon receipt, we cannot use your your donated item (s) and they have not been sent with instructions for pre-paid returns, will be recycled and/or disposed of in accordance with local environmental laws.
** We are sorry but we are not accepting film cameras at this time, though if you have an older film camera with a fair market value that we can use (for example) as a coveted item for a prize or silent auction, we will gladly take it off your hands.
Not sure if what you want to declutter is what we are looking for? Send us an email and let us help you determine if your last upgrade is worth donating! You can contact us here.
