My name is Raquel de Miranda, and I've been a videogame narrative designer since 2017.
My work is driven by weaving game mechanics and storytelling together in hope of creating meaningful game systems that support a strong thematic vision. While my interest will be piqued by any game with a daring perspective, I'm particularly invested in deep character work, dark fantasy and sci-fi, tragedy, and simulating complex social dynamics through play.
I specialize in narrative system design, but also have experience in quest design, game writing, game design, and self-reliant independent development. I am familiar with independent and AAA production constraints, and currently focus on freelance work as a consultant for projects of all sizes. I have also experience teaching game design and narrative design both as a speaker and as a full-time teacher.
I am currently based in Normandy, France.

After graduating ArtFX's Game Design course in 2017, I have worked for AAA and AA projects before turning to freelancing in 2021.
