BIO
Daniel Baumgardner graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in Theatre Education from Belmont University in 2016. Since, he has worked in both educational and professional theaters Kentucky (The Lexington Children's Theatre, The Lexington Opera House) and Tennessee (The Nashville Children's Theater, Studio Tenn Theatre Company, Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Bravo Creative Arts Center, Expression City). During this time, Daniel has focused specifically on technical theatre, including a two year period as Crew Chief and Master Carpenter for Studio Tenn's Scenic and Lighting departments. Daniel was offered the role of Theatre Conservatory Director at the Nashville School of the Arts in 2018 and worked to grow their program before accepting an opportunity at McGavock High School beginning the 2022-23 school year. He is thrilled to join the Raptor Theatre family and Ravenwood High School for the 2024-25 school year and beyond!

BIO
Lyss Edmondson (they/them) is an alum of Ravenwood High School class of 2013. They also attended Woodland Middle & Crockett Elementary. As a student they were a part of choir, theater, forensics, & the National Honors Society. Their favorite role they played in high school was Hedy LaRue in How to Succeed in Business. Their love for directing began right here at Ravenwood. The first show they directed was a Reader's Theatre piece that went on to win second in state for Forensics.
After high school they went on to study directing in higher education for seven years. First receiving their BA in Theatre from Samford University in 2017 and then their MFA in Directing from Arizona State University in 2019. While in graduate school Mx. Lyss studied Directing for New Works, Devising, Intimacy Choreography, Civic Practice, and the Critical Response Process.
Mx. Lyss’ spouse and middle school sweetheart, Mr. Edmondson, is a World History teacher at Ravenwood High School. Mr. and Mx. Edmondson are honored to give back to a program that gave them so much. Thank you to Mr. B and the students for welcoming us back home.
BIO
Wil Edmondson (he/him) is a Ravenwood Theatre Alumni class of 2012. His favorite role he played was Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
He first became involved in theater at Woodland Middle school back in 2007, thanks to Margie Chaney and Jim Jenkins. He was in a total of six shows at RHS and two at Town Center Theatre in Brentwood, TN.
After high school, Wil went on to receive his undergraduate degree in Anthropology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (Go Vols!) and his masters of education from Middle Tennessee State University. Wil is now a World History teacher here at Ravenwood. He is also the assistant speech and debate coach.
