Minor nut slot adjustments (e.g. filing slots to optimal height or fixing slight binding) can be done as part of setup if needed. If your guitar’s nut needs a quick tweak beyond the standard check (included in Deluxe and Signature packages), we may charge a small fee (~£10).

This is only for minor tweaks – if a new nut is required, that would be quoted separately as a different service, but simple adjustments to the existing nut are handled cheaply as part of the setup process whenever possible.

Extended Cleaning & Polishing

Our Deluxe and Signature tiers already include thorough cleaning. However, if a guitar is extremely grimy or oxidized and the owner wants extra cosmetic work (beyond even the Signature service’s scope), we can perform a deep clean or hardware polishing as an add-on. This might incur an additional £10–£20 depending on the extent of work (we would discuss this upon inspection).

In most cases, the Signature “Apex” package covers cleaning needs, but this option is there for exceptional cases (e.g. restoring a long-neglected instrument).

Hardware Upgrades/Replacements

If you want new hardware or parts installed during the setup (such as installing new tuning machines, strap locks, pickup swapping, etc.), we can bundle that at a reasonable extra cost.

Small installs like strap locks or pickguard swaps might be around £5–£15 added, whereas more involved jobs like pickup installations or electronic upgrades might be £20–£40 extra (parts not included). We always confirm the quote with you first. 

Simple pickup fits without routing are commonly ~£30, which we use as a ballpark for quoting such add-ons. Essentially, add-on hardware jobs are charged case-by-case at a fair rate – feel free to ask for a quote when booking.
