Welcome
Welcome
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at ESCP Business School in Paris.
I hold a doctoral degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim and spent four years as a Postdoc at the University of Innsbruck.
I conduct microeconomic research that primarily contributes to the fields of Behavioral and Environmental Economics. A significant portion of my work studies contribution behavior in the form of environmental protection, action against climate change, and charitable giving. I shed light on the determinants of contribution behavior, identify effective mechanisms to facilitate it, and strive to uncover fundamental aspects of individuals' decision-making. A second research strand of mine investigates motivated reasoning, providing insights into the underlying processes of self-serving belief manipulation as well as its behavioral consequences.
From a methodological perspective, I apply experimental methods to address the research questions at hand. I mainly use field experiments (with various partners such as charities, supermarkets, or fitness chains) and online experiments (on survey platforms or with representative panels).
