Roy Allen has opportunities for parents/caregivers to be involved whether you have a few minutes, a few hours, a few days, or more. It's all up to you!
Mission Statement (Draft)
The Roy Allen Elementary School's PTO is a non-profit volunteer parent and teacher organization whose members include all parents, guardians, and staff at Roy Allen Elementary.
The Parent Teacher Organization's mission is to support the education and social development of our students through promoting an open and positive sense of community between families and staff at Roy Allen Elementary. The PTO will raise funds, coordinate volunteers, and provide educational and social experiences to enhance our children's school life.

Classroom/School Help (examples: reading with 1-2 students; prepping materials for a class activity; assisting with a class celebration, distributing prizes during a fundraiser)
School Day Events (examples: Picture Day, Thanksgiving Feast, Field Day, Book Fairs, Holiday Shop)
Field Trip Chaperones
Fundraisers (examples: Boosterthon, selling candy/friendship grams)
After School/Evening Events (examples: Trunk or Treat/Fall Festival; Spring Carnival; Movie Night; School Dance)
Science Fair Judging
School Beautification Events
Contacting Potential School Partners (examples: finding restaurants to sponsor a teacher appreciation lunch, contacting businesses about school spirit nights)
Complete a volunteer application on the BPS website
Next, head to the BPS/Educational Services Facility (Viera, FL) – Office of District and School Security for Fingerprinting
Once approved, complete THIS FORM to add your name to the Roy Allen Volunteer Database. The Roy Allen PTO and your child's teacher will use this list to reach out with opportunities
