I am a Postdoctoral Associate in the System Software Research Group (SSRG) in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, where I work under the supervision of Prof. Binoy Ravindran (Bradley Senior Faculty Fellow). The SSRG lab focuses on advancing the foundations of modern computing systems, including processor architectures, operating systems, compilers, and heterogeneous platforms.
My research lies in the general area of computer architecture, with a focus on designing secure, efficient, and scalable hardware and system architectures for modern heterogeneous computing environments. My current work investigates microcode-level mechanisms for enforcing memory safety and compartmentalization beneath the ISA, enabling strong security guarantees without requiring compiler or operating system changes. This work is supported by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Applied Cyber Resiliency program, where I serve as a Co-Principal Investigator.
In addition, my research explores architectural innovations in Network-on-Chip (NoC) design using emerging memory technologies, and the modeling of multi-ISA heterogeneous systems and CXL-based disaggregated memory using gem5. My broader goal is to develop next-generation computing systems that combine high performance, strong security, and efficient data movement across CPUs, accelerators, and shared memory systems. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India, where my research focused on improving the reliability and efficiency of Network-on-Chip interconnects.
