On October 5th 2024 Rangoli led a kids craft workshop creating rangolis on paper plates and teaching the history and meaning of the artform.
Throughout summer 2024, Rangoli hosted movie nights to watch our favorite South Asian movies touching on queer themes.

On March 26th 2024 Rangoli hosted an iftar for our community celebrating Ramadan.
March 2nd 2024 Rangoli's board members spoke at a rally alongside multiple local organizations calling for a ceasefire and an end to the genocide in Gaza.
Thanksgiving 2023 Rangoli community members celebrated Friendsgiving together.
On February 4th 2023 Rangoli attended and spoke at a rally for solidarity in response to recent shootings in Monterey Park and Half Moon Bay, in a space created for community grieving, healing, hope, and solidarity.

On May 18th 2022, Rangoli hosted our first policy listening session on behalf of the AAPI PA Power Caucus. Coming together in community discussion of the issues that affect us most, from immigrant and refugee justice, to anti-Asian violence.
Rangoli had an amazing time at what was most of our first times at a hockey game, at the Penguins Pride Game November 2021!
Rangoli was proud and humbled to have been able to march at #PeoplesPride2020, organized by Sisters PGH, who have been relentless in their efforts to build community for trans and nonbinary folks here in Pittsburgh!
On May 31st 2020 Rangoli was proud to host a digital drag show featuring amazing AAPI drag artists!
Rangoli community members went together to see Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan in March 2020, one of the first major gay Bollywood romances!
On January 25, 2020, Rangoli Pittsburgh facilitated the "Decolonizing Queerness" workshop at the 2020 Pittsburgh Racial Justice Summit.
We had a packed workshop featuring lectures on approaches to teaching queerness globally, and the impacts of imperialism/colonialism to the perceptions of queerness in larger culture from Julie Beaulieu, Ph.D. (University of Pittsburgh; Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies), and T. J. Tallie, Ph.D. (University of San Diego, History).
Afterwards, attendees participated in group discussions facilitated by queer community members of color. Attendees reflected on how our perceptions of queerness have been influenced by imperialism globally and thought about ways to decolonize their own perceptions and practices of gender, sexuality, and queerness.

We were so incredibly honored to attend Growing Home, the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance's (NQAPIA) tri-annual conference!
Rangoli Pittsburgh partnered with the City of Pittsburgh's LGBTQIA+ Advisory Council & the Allegheny County DHS LGBTQIA+ Immigrants and Internationals Committee to put together a town hall on LGBTQIA+ AAPI issues. Read more about the town hall and what was discussed here.

On June 1, 2019, we launched and celebrated LGBTQ+ AAPI Day of Visibility with a digital campaign & toolkit.
On June 1, 2019, we also hosted an open, honest, and emotional panel discussion of local LGBTQ+ AAPIs discussing their experiences.
