Through this exercise, it helps me recognize the difficulty and struggles of a gifted learner/individual alongside the strengths that made them shine. and that they harbor exceptional abilities and unique traits that set them apart amidst their peers. and how understanding a gifted learner serves as a preparatory guide to us on how to deal with different kinds of learners and how we should respond in the future.
While writing this activity, I learned that being a gifted learner is not just a blessing; it has its sets of misfortunes too. Being misunderstood, isolated, and withdrawn is a common occurrence. That is why it is important to learn how to teach a gifted student properly, not just by relying on the standardized curriculum and how individualized learning is a necessity, especially for a gifted and talented learner. By making the diary, we manage to understand and see using the perspective of a gifted student and thus realize that gifted learners had their own challenges and how us creating a guide catered to their special needs is necessary so they could thrive in our current society.

“If everyone was taught sign language at an early age, a deaf person would no longer be disadvantaged. If towns were built and planned with physical disabilities in mind and there was no social stigma attached to looking or sounding different, then having a physical impairment would no longer be disabling.”
