Tattvāloka’s ‘Onward March to Rāma Rājya’ distinguished speaker, Dr. Padmaja Suresh, in her lecture in 2018, had explained how nāṭya leads the practitioner as well as the audience to spiritual evolution and thereby helps the establishment of Rāma Rājya.
Subsequent to the lecture, Tattvāloka’s Jagadguru Śrī Abhinava Vidyātīrtha Yoga Vidyā Satsaṅga partnered with Nāṭyopasakā Smt. Vanishree Ravishankar, director of Natya Samarpanam, a dance school based in Chennai, to explore how nāṭya could be made relevant to deal with the challenges of the present age by infusing it with yoga. The result of the collaboration has been the evolution of an innovative bāṇī (style or form), christened the Rāma Rājya bāṇī, of Indian classical arts.
The debut performance of nātya in the Rāma Rājya bāṇī was presented by students of Natya Samarpanam at the Tattvāloka auditorium on August 10, 2019.
