Principal Investigator: Dr. Allison Sonia
Dr. Sonia graduated from Keene State College in New Hampshire with a bachelors in Psychology. She earned a PhD from The University of New Hampshire under the guidance of Edward O'Brien and Laura Allen. Dr. Sonia's research interests include memory processes during reading comprehension, the impact of misinformation, validation of textual information including the impact of general world knowledge, and multiple document comprehension. After graduating from UNH she spent 3 years as an Assistant Professor at Lyon College in Arkansas teaching a variety of courses including Intro to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Intermediate Research Methods, The Psychology of Fake News, and The Psychology of Reading. Dr. Sonia started as an Assistant Professor at Providence College in Rhode Island in the Fall of 2025. In her free time Dr. Sonia enjoys hanging out with her family, reading, and knitting.
